Guatemala:: Pray for Anayeli

This is Anayeli. She was on my team in 2008 and is a firecracker, 100% full of spunk. Her father passed away 2 weeks ago due to an alcohol-related car accident. Please pray for Anayeli, her mother, and her siblings. Life is going to change for this family. Pray for strength and a peace that passes all understanding. Please pray that her mother will run to Christ for rest. Please pray that this family will find rest and peace in the Shadow of the Almighty.

Guatemala:: CAMP

Guatemala was awesome. Campemento Esperanza was a success,all thanks to God. This was the first year that we had a separate camp for the teenagers of this village and they appeared to absolutely love it, as did I. I love teen girls and my team of 15 year olds were so precious,funny, and typical..teenagers are the same no matter the country, and I love them. When I come back from a trip like this, it is so hard to describe to people. Yes, it is beautiful, amazing, humbling, challenging, insert many more adjectives...these words seem so trite to what it really is...This experience is a gift of God, and that is sometimes hard to describe with mere words.

Here are some camp pictures from the week

Summertime and the livin is easy

Long time, no blog! To all 2 of you that read this, I took a blogging hiatus, due to a very busy, but fun summer. Mark was gone from June 28-July 26. He lived in Guatemala for his intership for DTS. I joined him in Guatemala last week, and that will deserve it's own post, so stay tuned. I was so nervous prior to Mark leaving. I tend to be on the fearful side and experienced a lot of anxiety before his departure. God is so good. I felt at peace the entire time. The month he was gone flew by and thanks to the many friends and family that checked in on the Lamb Ladies. A special thanks to the Lambs, the Castleberrys and the Woods for babysitting Ryann and providing me with much needed breaks.He are some pictures from the month of June/July...

My family went to Arkansas for our annual fishing trip a couple of weeks ago. We missed Mark, but had a great time. Ryann went in a boat for the fist time and got a rockin' princess life vest...what every girl needs.

Ryann and I celebrated the 4th of July with my parents at their land in Junction. We had such fun relaxing, shopping in Fredricksburg, eating hot dogs, and watching the fireworks.We had so much fun, but missed Mark, of course.

The day before Mark left, we took Ryann to see her very first movie, UP. She didn't move a muscle and loved it from start to finish. I loved it too, although embarrassed that I teared up 4 times in an animated movie

Channeling Pedro

Since Mark started school last August, he has been letting his hair grow out.He had really begun to look like a disciple. His hair is really thick and it is so hot outside... his locks of love began to be a problem. Because of his internship, he will be spending a lot of time outside in the hot sun....so he decided to have his head shaved last night. It reminded us of one of our favorite movies, Napolean Dynamite, in that Pedro decided to shave his head because of the sole reason of being hot....which was Mark's sole reason as well.
I was at church when the shaving took place. When I got home, I went in to say goodnight to Ryann. She was sitting in her bed and said with concern, "Daddy's hair all gone....bye bye hair." Bye Bye Hair
